Do I need a referral to see Dr. Swaid? No, you do not need a referral from another physician unless your insurance company requires one. Do I need to have an MRI, x-ray or other studies done before I see Dr. Swaid? No. Dr. Swaid will order any tests he feels are medically necessary after examining you. How quickly can I get an appointment to see Dr. Swaid? We are usually able to make an appointment within 1 – 2 weeks. What do I bring to my first appointment? You will need to bring your diagnostic tests with you if you have had any performed, along with your patient medical history form. Please remember to bring your driver’s license (or other picture ID) as well as your insurance card. How long will my visit last? Please plan on approximately 1 ½ hours for your visit. We try very hard to keep to our schedule; however, we are a surgical practice and there are times when unforeseen circumstances or emergencies prevent us from being on time. Should this be the case on your appointment day, we will notify you immediately and ask you please to be patient. If Dr. Swaid orders tests, how long will I have to wait until I get results? Generally we are able to contact you within 3-5 business days following the date of the test. However, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions
