Dr. Martin P. Jones is a native Alabamian, born in Albertville and a graduate of Mountain Brook High School.  He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979.  He attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham's School of Medicine where he also completed a residency in Orthopedic surgery.  He completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Emory's School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia before entering private practice at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama in 1992.  He is board certified by the America Board of Orthopedic Surgery.  Dr. Jones relocated his practice to the Brookwood Medical Center campus in 2005 and is also on courtesy staff at St. Vincent's Hospital.  He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the North American Spine Society,  the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Alabama.  He is married and has four children.  In addition to family activities, he enjoys playing golf.
